Stephen from 9to5Google reported that a source close to Google has told him of plans to add a feature to the Pixel 4 called ‘Hold my Phone’. This will essentially save you the hassle of waiting on hold with a company that you’re about to complain to, instead, Google Assistant will wait for you, how handy!
Except, it's not if you hail from the United Kingdom or, anywhere else in the world apart from the United States.
Google Call Screening was first introduced on the Launch of the Pixel 3.
Everyone was excited, including me. I received my Pixel 3 XL and was disappointed that the ‘Call Screening’ feature wasn’t available at launch for the UK.
I thought okay, they may need some time to ensure that they’re not breaking any Laws, every Country is different. Almost a year later, it’s still nowhere to be seen and not even a word from Google, telling us when we can expect it.
I’m happy for our American brethren but, I’m not holding my breath for any of these Google Duplex features, it would be nice to have. The only thing the rest of the world can do is a dream...
